What are the common symptoms of diabetes?

Most of the Diabetes People show some or no noticeable symptoms of diabetes, and are shocked when high sugar is detected in routine blood or urine tests. Two standard symptoms can be seen in most of people who develop diabetes.

Frequent Urination – A diabetes patient passes large quantities of urine multiple times a day. There is a frequent urge at night to clear the bladder. When glucose cannot cross the body cells, it starts accumulating in the blood and appearing in the urine. Diabetics patients are very much prone to excessive urination because of the excess glucose in the urine draws more water than normal.

Increased Thirst – More the urination, more the thirst. A patient of diabetes frequently fells thirsty and drinks more water at short intervals.

Extreme Hunger – Diabetes patient tend to feel hungry most of the time and eat large and multiple meals. They eat more, still they continue to feel like hungry.

Loss of Weight – Continuous loss of weight despite the intake of frequent and heavy meals is another symptom of the disease. The body is always starved of energy, as glucose cannot enter the cells. So the starved cells use up fat and protein to get more energy, This causes loss of weight.

Weakness and Fatigue – Diabetes patient feels fatigue quickly even after small exertion. They also feel short of breath very easily. Then the excess sugar in the blood does not absorbed by the cells, it is converted into energy. This reduces the energy and resistance levels.
